Complete Solution to Find X: How I Plan to Save for Our Trip to Brazil (Part 5)

So here's the part that will complete the solution to get X.  If you missed my previous posts on our pre-travel game plan for our trip to and vacation in South America, you may start reading here.

Another thing where we can save on is with our internet connection at home.  We're not disconnecting it, you guys!  How can I possibly live without internet?  And as the saying goes,

A house without wi-fi is not a home.

So here's how we can save without letting go of one of the sources of my vital signs, the internet.  We pay 1,299 PhP per month for our internet.  The husband says, he can reimburse 1,000 per month from Accenture.  This is part of the benefits of being an Accenture executive :)  One requirement though is that the account should be under his name because he has to submit the monthly billing statement to their finance department.  The account is under my name because Globe is our provider.  I have an existing postpaid account with them so all the requirements were waived and they completed installation in just 2 or 3 days after I called them to inquire.  I have been too lazy to request transfer of ownership and been procrastinating since he was promoted in 2013.  But this time, I did it in the same week we started to plan our trip to Brazil.

The Globe guys didn't make it easy for me to do it.  In fact, two weeks later, the transfer of ownership is still not completed.  I'll try to create a separate post for that.

So that completes my solution to get X: Miggy's monthly amortization + X = 25,000.

A big chunk of it will come from the savings we'll get by eating home-cooked meals.

And the most important part of the solution is God's help and guidance.  Our game plan won't be completely executed if it is not His will.
