I'm back... at least for now ^_^
Last Saturday was not like the regular Saturdays I had:
1) Commuted going to Apalit (did not bring Miggy with us, the tipid mode is on!)
2) Because of #1, I did not also bring a laptop with me.
3) Did not have fruits for breakfast.
4) Did not attend the WS after Thanksgiving.
We had dinner at Robinson's Pioneer. While walking our way home, we passed by a blind man who sings with his guitar. I knew he would stop there as he always do so I just walked a few steps ahead of him to put the empty paper container of scramble to a trash bag. Then I waited for him. Surprisingly, he just followed me and did not approach the blind man. Then I started walking again. He said, "Teka lang, may nakalimutan ako." Then I waited while he was trying to recall something. He approached the blind man and talked to him. The man stopped singing as they talk. Then he walked behind the blind man. I thought we were about to leave but he asked me to stay. As he leaned on the iron fence, I asked, "Ano ni-request mo?". He replied, "Pakinggan mo na lang". I thought it would be "Beautiful in My Eyes" as what he always sings for me. I did not immediately recognize the song during the intro but after the blind man sang the first few words "♪Kung tayo'y matanda na, sana'y di tayo magbago...♪". I immediately said, "Ahhh... Nakakainis ka!" while trying to stop my tears. He turned his back on me. I was really surprised and the word happy is not enough to describe the feeling. The tears kept on falling. Call me baduy and all but it is really one of the happiest moments in my life. I never imagined that someone would dedicate that song for me because I myself, don't like the song for it is kinda bakya. It was only then I realized that the lyrics of the song are so real, no fancy things, and just plain reality.
Each of us has only one life to live and if someone chose to live his life with you until old age, you know that it is entirely in a different level. For the longest time, I saw myself married to someone but I did not see myself growing old with someone. I was afraid to have wrinkles, to look old, and to have a sickly old man to take care of. But now, I don't mind at all for as long as we'll grow old together, God willing, and we'll age gracefully ♥.♥
Kung tayo'y matanda na
Sana'y di tayo magbago
Kailan man, nasaan ma'y
Ito ang pangarap ko
Makuha mo pa kayang
Ako'y hagkan at yakapin ooh
Hanggang sa pagtanda natin
Nagtatanong lang sa 'yo
Ako pa kaya'y ibigin mo
Kung maputi na ang buhok ko
Pagdating ng araw
Ang 'yong buhok ay puputi na rin
Sabay tayong mangangarap
