I attended our Church services. Last Friday, I decided to attend the Thanksgiving in our locale because I need to know the details for the Officers' Seminar the next day (which is a few hours from now). I was not able to show up at our locale for about 2 weeks that is why I am not informed.
I sat close to our deaconess, Sis. Lorna, to be able to know the details right away. She asked if I have an invitation for the seminar and I said none. She showed me her invitation and there I learned that the seminar will be from 1pm onwards. I was expecting it to be a whole day affair. But then, I decided that I will still attend the Worship Service after the Thanksgiving for me to have time to workout Sunday morning :)
It was fun being with my ka-locales again. I can sense that they really do love me in the real sense of the word. It was also good to hear that the new show of Bro. Daniel is successful in its first week. Bro. Mel read a review from the internet and I only heard all positive feedback for the show. Obviously, the one who did the review is not a brethren because he said that he just stumbled on the tv program when it was about to end. The only negative part he mentioned is that UNTV 37 has a poor signal on Destiny Cable. I am very delighted to hear the review and I do hope that this coming Monday, God willing, I may be able to watch it (sigh, I always forgot to turn on our tv in the morning because I am always in a hurry preparing for work!)
The group of officers and workers offered a Thanksgiving song, or should I say songs, after the first break. It was funny because the minus 1 CD for the first song we sang stopped after the first stanza. Bro. Joel (KNC worker, I think) cracked a joke to the brethren that it was just a practice or vocalization and that we intend to sing another song. All of us were laughing, even those who were sleepy.
I slept on my chair after eating lunch. When I woke up, Sis. Lorna told me that Bro. Jonjon took pictures of me while I was asleep. I just smiled, no big deal about it. After the Thanksgiving, it rained so hard that most of us was not able to go out immediately. While waiting for the rain to stop, Bro. Jonjon played the pictures on his cam and of course, my picture was there. We laughed and I told him that probably he will have my picture on his side when he sleeps.
Together with Sis. Janet, Amor, and Evelyn, we went to Locale of San Mateo to attend the Worship Service. We were already late because Numero Uno was already playing when we got there. There are brethren inside and the place is indeed small to accommodate all the attendees. We got in when the Prayer is about to start and the door was not closed because there are many of us blocking the entrance. After the Prayer, I was able to find a seat on the second row beside 2 lolas. I was wondering why the other lola was wearing a short sleeved blouse, as in short, covering just about less than 1 cm of her arm and the other lola was wearing a t-shirt. Well, I just ignored it because I am not sure if they are only new members.
I think I am really being maarte this past few months. I am quite sensitive to smell and other small stuff. Most of the time during the Worship Service, I breathed through my mouth because I don't like the smell. Also, the floor is not clean. I am not natitisod because of these things. In fact, I can tolerate it because our own locale is not squeaky clean. I just hope that my being maarte remains in moderation. I don't want other brethren to be imbyerna with me because of that.
